When You Try a Fad Diet...

I'm in a sort of a hiatus from active blogging. I've been occupied by researching online jobs, one of the sites I've been to was Phoenix Job Search. Anyway, I'm trying to go back to my regular shedule so I am slowly starting to write some posts here and there...

We all know that fad diets very rarely work...restrictive weight loss plans are not good for your body. After just a couple of days in these diets, which usually gets you to scale down your food intake, your metabolism starts to plummet. Your brain senses that there isn't enough food coming in so it tells your body to desperately cling to its fat stores it already has, and starts burning lean muscle tissue for fuel. These two things ultimately increases your percentage of body fat. After several days on a very low-calorie diet, the levels of Omega-3 fats in your brain will fall. Since your brain is composed of 30% of this kind of fat, if you're lacking from this, you might be prone to depression.
